Shivaji Rao Gaekwad is his original name. He was born on 12^th December 1950 Bangalore. Before he entered into the Indian Film Industry he worked as conductor in Banglore Transport Service. . In 1973 he joined the Madras Film Institute to pursue a diploma in acting. Following his debut in K. Balachander ‘s movie. Right now he is the highest paid actor in Asia after Jackie Chan.
WHAT MADE HIM A SUPERSTAR:

Well he is not very different from the other celebrities at those times. He acting skills were similar with others . But what made him a SUPERSTAR is his STYLE. The way he walks , the way he picks the things , the way he smokes even the way he looks created a new trend.
