In this world everything you do may not be right and it may not be accepted by others. But it doesn’t mean that you have to do those things which are liked by others these things cannot be solved there just meant to be like that bearing a name called “CONTROVERSY”. There happened many controversies in 2014 but these are some of them
1) LUIS SUAREZ biting his opponents:
Luis is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays for Spanish club FC Barcelona and the Uruguayan national team as a striker.In July 2014, Suarez moved to Barcelona for a fee reported by the English press in the region of £75 million (€94 million), while Barcelona claim a fee of £65 million (€81 million), making him the third most expensive player in football history. Being regarded as one of the best strikers in the world he during the World cup 2014 bit his opponents shoulder and got banned. This became one of the most controversy as it is for the first a player has used his teeth to block his opponent.
2) I-cloud gets hacked(FAPPENING):
Imagine when your personal data becomes public what will do….??? This is the same incident which was faced by ios users. A prestigious company (APPLE) stored all the personal data of its users in a cloud and it got hacked …..!!!!!!!!! This incident made many of the ios users to change into android. This made the Apple to think of its security. Many of the celebs got disturbed by this so called Fappening.
3) CEO OF MICROSOFT STATEMENTS AGAINST WOMEN…..??? :
Satya Nadella The Chied Exective Officer of Microsoft when came to India he made some of the comments which are against the women. At a women's tech conference Nadella said that women not asking for a raise is "good karma" and that "the system will give you the right raises as you go along." Afterwards, the software executive apologized and backpedaled. This earned him a lot of enmity from the women working in Microsoft. But many people said that it was complex statement which was given by him and can’t be analysed.
4) PAKISTAN RELEASES A PRISONERS OF LASHKAR-E-TAIBA:
People not even came out from the nightmare of the Peshawar which took around 150 lives of children. At this time the government of Pakistan instead of taking serious actions against the terrorists groups releases Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, the former head of the Pakistani terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba. He has been granted a release following his payment of 1 million rupees ($9,950) as a surety bond. What is Pakistan Government trying to do…??? God knows..!! This made the Nation to lose its honor and reputation.
5)UKRAINE SHOOTS MALAYSIAN PLANE:
When a Malaysian plane with 295 on board was shot down by Ukraine. the plane departed from Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport at 10:31 GMT (12:31 local time) on 17 July and was due to arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 22:10 GMT. Malaysia Airlines had initially said that the plane lost contact at 14:15 GMT. Western nations said there was growing evidence that the plane was hit by a Russian-supplied missile fired by rebels. Russia blamed Ukrainian government forces.US officials from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said there was a "solid case" that a SA-11 missile - also known as Buk - was fired from eastern Ukraine under "conditions the Russians helped create". Whoever done that the result was that many families were in deep grief.
6)”WHO IS SACHIN” SAYS MARIA SHARAPOVA :
The cricket world may have shed tears on his last day on the field, but tennis queen and grand slam champions Maria Sharapova has no clue who is Sachin Tendulkar. Maria Sharapova Tennis Queen and Grand Slam champion gave a statement that she doesn’t know Sachin. This made the many of the Cricket lovers to rebuke Sharapova.
7)PUTTIN OFFERING SHALU TO CHINA PRESIDENT’S WIFE :
It was at Beijing where the global meeting was happening and Presidents from different countries came there including Russian President Puttin Vladimir and Chinese President who came along with his wife. Then came the incident where the Russian President offered shalu to Chinese president who was feeling very cold. This was captured in CCTV and was broadcasted all across the world. Then there came many things in the Social media making fun of the Chinese President and Chinese government banned this video ending up this thing.
8)ATTEMPT TO SUCIDE NO MORE A CRIME IN INDIA:
“ Killing yourself is a sin” but this quote will no more suit in India where the government decides to decriminalizes attempt to commit suicide, removes section 309. This made many people to criticize the government and many people applauded this move.
9) ALS ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE:
This was an intiative to bring the awareness about the disease Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS). But this became a fun event where people not even knowing about the disease wasted lot of water. Many statistics say that the water which was wasted in ALS ICE BUCKET CHALLENGE can clear the thirst of the people in drought affected countries Africa.
