Are we really mortal?

To living beings, death is not an uncommon phenomenon. We are born, we die. The time between the birth and death in this universe is life and we live it. But, read the title of this topic again. Are we really mortal? Let’s not think in a physical way for some time. Let’s believe in the magic of consciousness, something for which science is finding an equivalent, something which creates our physical world. Consciousness – soul – energy is all one and the same. Soul is the driving force of this so called body, which is our vehicle. We are aware that our soul lies in our body, yet we don’t realize it. Again, when I say realizing the soul, it means understanding ourselves. Attaining the consciousness, and ultimately understanding the truth.

When we call this consciousness or soul as energy, it must follow the fundamental laws of nature. And it does. Energy cannot be destroyed. And this consciousness has existed with time. We humans need a medium to understand ourselves and for that, this body is used. There is aging to the body, but not the soul. Therefore, once this body dies, the soul leaves this body and enters the universe. Which means, we die only physically? Yes! The body is done with its work and the soul is free. It isn’t destroyed and it might find another body to reside in.

In fact, a scientist claims that this consciousness moves to another universe when die. If we are dead in one universe, we might be alive in another. This theory is called neo-biocentrism. It also implies that death of consciousness doesn’t exist. Therefore, this theory leads to the concept of multiverse. Now, re-think whenever we say we are mortals, as another body somewhere is waiting for our soul to live and re-live.
